Dear Clients, Landlords, and Residents,
In accordance with the Executive Orders issued by the Office of the Executive of Jackson County, Missouri and the Jackson County Health Department, this is an update regarding steps the Lee’s Summit Housing Authority (LSHA) is taking to protect Public Housing residents, Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher clients and landlords, and agency staff amidst phased re-opening of the county during the outbreak of COVID-19, commonly known as the Coronavirus. As of Monday, June 1, 2020, the LSHA office shall reopen to the public by appointment only while following social distancing, health and safety guidelines recommended by the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The Lee’s Summit Housing Authority office shall remain open while following guidance from the Jackson County Health Department and CDC, except in the event of a re-issuance of Stay-At-Home orders issued by city, county, state and/or federal authorities if the region experiences a second wave of COVID-19 infections.
